Dear Betty and Family, Losing a loved one can be devastating, which is why I wanted to share with you that death isn’t the end. We know this because when Jesus was on earth, he demonstrated that when he got news of Lazarus’ death. The account recorded in John chapter 11 shows that to those who were with him at the time, Jesus said: “Lazarus has fallen asleep I am going to awaken him.” And just as he stated, the account reveals that he asked to be taken where Lazarus was already buried for four days. When he got to the grave, he called Lazarus and he came out alive and well. Amazing isn’t it? What Jesus did then was just a preview of what we can expect from him when Jehovah and His son Jesus put an end to this wicked world (Psalms 37: 9-11, 29); (Proverbs 2: 21 and 22); (1 John 2 verses 15 to 17). Once that happens Jehovah’s Heavenly Kingdom with Christ as the appointed king will govern the entire earth and for that reason all the problems we face today, including death will be eliminated. Even our dead loved ones will come back to life according to the following Scriptures: (Isaiah 9:6, 7); (Isaiah 25: 8), (John 5: 28), (1 Corinthians 15:26), (Revelation 21:3 and 4).
