Obituary of Frances Boyd

Funeral services for Frances Boyd, 57, of Columbia, will be held 2 PM Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at Fellowship Baptist Church west of Columbia with Bro. Bob McIlwain officiating. Brian Causey will do the eulogy. Interment will follow at the Fellowship Cemetery. Visitation will Tuesday from 4-9 PM at Riser Funeral Home in Columbia and Wednesday from 11 AM until service time at the church. Frances was born July 13, 1953 to J.T. and Vernice Kilby Boyd in Monroe and she passed from this life on December 12, 2010 at LSU Medical Center in Shreveport. She was a member of Grace Christian Mission Church. She loved to shop. She worked at Haven Home Health in Columbia. She loved her patients dearly and they loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother: Joseph Thomas Boyd III; sister: Sybil Boyd; niece: Betty Boyd. Survivors include five brothers: John Thomas Boyd and his wife Peggy of Columbia; David Boyd of Ouachita Parish; Troy Boyd and his wife Maria of Columbia; C.H. Boyd and his wife Debbie of Clarks; Jody Boyd and his wife Elvia of Corey; a special niece: Annette Burton and her son Joseph Burton; and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Brian Boyd, Brandon Boyd, Joey Boyd, Michael Boyd, Heath Boyd, and Brad Forbis. Honorary Pallbearers will be the workers at Haven Home Health.
