Obituary of Dollie Mae Phillips

Ellis Earl Phillips, 84, of Olla, LA departed his loving family on May 4, 2016 to await for his beloved wife of 67 years. Dollie Mae Plunkett Phillips, 82 met up with her husband on May 8, 2016 and they entered eternity together. They were united in marriage in Richland Parish on March 5, 1951. They have four children who loved them very much. They are Betty Hernandez and spouse Jimmy, Annie Bell Fishel and spouse, Gary all of Yakima, Washington; Jimmy Earl Phillips and spouse, Annie of Grayson and Lynda Nalley and spouse, Anthony of Mountain Home, Arkansas. They have ten grandchildren and many great-grandchildren whom they loved very much. Ellis was preceded in death by three brothers: Clifton, Castle and Ray Phillips and he is survived by one sister, Faye Phillips of the Houston, Texas area. Ellis loved talking on shortwave radios, fishing, duck hunting and the collection of many various metals. Dollie has two surviving sisters: Sweety Mae Crumpton and spouse, Will of Ringold,LA and Beatrice Hubert of the Baton Rouge area. She had just been reunited with her sister Sweety Mae after many years. Dollie loved crafts, sewing, cooking, country music, gardening, and spending time with and caring for her husband. She joined her husband on many of his wild adventures. She loved and cherished her children and all of the family. A memorial service for their reunion together for eternity will be held on June 11,2016 at 2388 Front Street in Olla at 3:00 PM.
