Obituary of Mary Eubanks Fairbanks Stewart
We Praise you God! We are thankful that you have allowed us the love and companionship of Mary Emma “Leona” Eubanks Fairbanks Stewart for 85 years. We are so grateful that she has blessed the world with her loving daughter, Judy Fairbanks Jones Cameron to be by her side as you called Miss Mary home. We are grateful that Miss Mary helped raise her brothers and sisters. That she mothered many others with her love and humor as she cooked for many on many boats and barges on the river with her brothers. We love her teaching us to share her love of gardening and playing cards with her friends Shirley and Marion Smith for many years. We are grateful that she served you, God and shared your son, Jesus with her first husband, Reverend Douglas Usher Fairbanks of the Pentecostal Faith.
God you blessed her parents, Hattie and Roy C. Eubanks with her birth on February 5, 1931and called her home on July 7, 2016. She was the eldest of Berlene Nugent, Floyd C. Eubanks, Shirley Mason and Goldey Guice, that you called home last week with her youngest brother, Jerry Major Eubanks and his wife, Joyce still with us to help Judy see her home to you.
We praise you that you sent Judy a sister of love, Linda K. Meredith Cummings and her husband, Gary to share her love and companionship in her later years, along with Jacob Stewart, her beloved grandson. We praise you for her many nieces and nephews especially, Sidney Eubanks and his mother, Virginia that has been such a help until her end along with Justin Eubanks. We thank you for Miss Mary's health servers: Andrea, Susan and Debbie. Special thanks to her next door neighbor, Robert Johnson and his wife, Mimi.
We are grateful that she will be buried at Catahoula Cemetery in Enterprise on Monday, July 11, 2016. Funeral services will be at 3 PM on Monday from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home, Columbia. Visitation will be prior to the funeral beginning at 1:30 PM.
