Obituary of Alene Justice Howard

Funeral services for Mrs. Alene Justice Howard age 82 of West Monroe and formerly of Caldwell Parish will be held 2:00 PM Thursday August 4, 2016 from the Columbia chapel of Riser Funeral Home with Rev. Sherman Jones, Rev.Nathan Thornton, and Rev. Shane Carter officiating.Interment will follow in the Welcome Home Cemetery at Grayson. Visitation will be on Wednesday August 3, 2016 at the Riser Funeral Home from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Alene Justice Howard was born on August 5, 1933 in Caldwell Parish to the union of her parents, Dave Melvin Justice and Ada Bell Thompson Justice. She passed from this life on Monday August 1, 2016 at the Caldwell Memorial Hospital in Columbia following an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband Felton Howard. Left to cherish her memory is her sisters: Mae Belle Young of West Monroe and Wanda Justice Callender of Holum; her brother: John Melvin Justice and wife Irma of West Monroe; and a host of nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers will be Kenneth Howard, Jeremy Young, Stony Young, Roland Garcia, Blake Young, and Houston Callender, Jr. The Howard Family would like to thank the Caldwell Memorial Hospital doctors, nurses and related staff for the depth of love and kindness you showed our family during the sickness of our beloved sister and aunt, Alene Justice Howard.
