Obituary of Donald Wayne Myers

Funeral services for Donald W. Myers age 71 of Hebert will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, August 16, 2016 from the sancturay of Bethany Baptist Church at Hebert with Bro. Brian Rankin officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethany Cemetery under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia. Visitation will be on Monday, August 15, 2016 at the Bethany Baptist Church from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Donald Wayne Myers was born on June 25,1945 at Clarks, Louisiana to the union of his parents Norman Neal Myers and Clotile Brogden Myers, and he passed from this life on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at his residence following an extended illness. He was preceded in death by his parents and by a sister, Ruth Brown. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and a United States Navy Veteran. Left to cherish his memory is his spouse and the love of his life: Lou Davis Myers, his son: Ricky Myers of Monroe, LA; two daughters: Lori Maxwell and spouse Todd of Hebert, LA and Ellen Eubanks and spouse Jeff of Pearland, TX; two sisters: Connie S. Winslow of Jackson, MS and Vickie Vocker of Downsville, LA; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren plus one blessing on the way. Pallbearers will be: David Kincaid, J. T. Maxwell, Thomas Maxwell, Cole Ellerbe, Chris Buehl and Randy Middleton. Honorary pallbearers will be: Tim Coats, Donnie Vocker, Ronald Johnson, Mark Harper.
