Obituary of Sue Bordelon Brooks

Funeral services for Sue Bordelon Brooks, age 79 of Tullos, LA will be held at 2 PM Friday, September 2, 2016 from the sanctuary of Urania Pentecostal Church, Urania, LA with Bro. Clay Hutton officiating. Interment will follow at Urania Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Urania Pentecostal Church from 5 PM to 8 PM then again Friday from 10 AM until time of services. Mrs. Brooks was born on April 2, 1937 in Jonesville, LA to the union of her parents, James Edward Jones, Sr. and Auddie Ruth Boyd Jones and passed from this life on Monday, August 29, 2016 at St. Frances Cabrini Medical Center in Alexandria, LA. Sue was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands: Wilmore Bordelon and James Brooks; sons: James Marvin Bordelon and Lester Joseph Bordelon; daughter, Mary Charlene Bordelon; and three brothers: Sam Bo Jones, Jerry Jones and Harry Jones. Those left to cherish her memory are her sons and daughters-in-law: Roger Bordelon and Delores Bryant of Jena, Paul and Ann Bordelon of Oklahoma and Robert and Mary Brooks of Atlanta, GA; daughters and sons-in-law: Sharon and Robert Erwin of Urania and Patricia and Larry Levins of Port St. Joe, FL; brothers and sisters-in-law: James Edward Jr. and Eve Jones of Leesville, Larkin and Helen Jones of Urania and Floyd Jones of Tullos; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
