Obituary of Geneva E. Preston

Funeral services for Geneva E. Preston, age 92 of Kelly, will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, September 2, 2016 in the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Vernon Foy officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joe/St. Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday 12:30 PM until the time of the service. Geneva was born November 11, 1923 to the union of Mance White, Sr. and Willie Ricks White in Kelly and parted from this life at her residence in Kelly. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Preston, Sr., “Doll Baby”; her son, Willie Preston; her daughters, Mary Lee Preston and Norma Jean Preston; her sisters, Katie White, Verdi White, Kathena White, Rosa Lollie, and Julia Wooten; her brothers, Roy White, John White, Clayton White, Mance White, Jr., and Allen Ray White. She is survived by her sons, Andrew Preston, Jr. and his wife Brenda of Osyka, MS; Billie Ray Preston and his wife Patricia of Independence, MO; Bobby Lynn Preston and his wife Gloria of New Orleans, LA; John Preston, Sr. and his wife Linda of Clarks, LA; Henry A. Preston, Sr. and his wife Valerie of Bastrop, LA; her daughters, Annie Preston Hall of Gretna, LA and Hazel Preston Davis and her husband Moran of Kelly, LA; her brother, Leroy White of Kelly, LA; her sister, Willie T. Wooten of Elk Grove, CA; her grandchildren, Nijel, Kofi, Bobby Jr., Diamon, Hope, Alaina, Ariana, Grace, Rosa, Adam, Joshua, Henry Jr., John Jr., Malcolm, Xavier, Berniyia, and Brandon; her great grandchildren, Ricardo, Kofi Jr., Jordan, Paris, Madison, Damien, and Charles. Active pallbearers are Joshua Preston, Henry Preston, Jr., John Preston Jr., Malcolm Preston, Xavier Preston, Brandon Preston, Josh England, Bobby Preston, Jr., and Edgar Baron.
