Obituary of Jennie L. Boyett

Funeral services for Jennie L. Boyett, age 87, of Olla, will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, September 5, 2016 at Olla United Methodist Church with Bro. Curtis Carroll officiating. Interment will follow at Olla Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Riser Funeral Home in Olla and Monday from 10:00 AM until service time at the church. Jennie was born July 25, 1929 to Tom and Lavelle Boone Davis in Mound, LA and she passed from this life on September 2, 2016 at Tioga Community Care Center. She was a member of Olla United Methodist Church and she enjoyed gardening, fishing, and bowling. She was preceded in death by her husband: Melvin Boyett; her parents; brothers: Johnny Davis and Jimmy Brown; great-granddaughter: Aubree Boyett. She is survived by two sons: Jerry Boyett and his wife Donna of Olla; Terry Boyett and his wife Laura of Urania; two daughters: Joyce Boyett of Olla; Betty Tullos and her husband Danny of Pineville; brother: Robert Brown of Many; seven grandchildren: Kimberly Tullos-Smith of Newnan, GA, Leslie Sartin of Pineville, Jennifer Wilson of Olla, Matthew Boyett of Cowetta, OK, Aaron Boyett of Urania, Joshua Boyett of Pineville, and Kristen Boyett of Olla; great-grandchildren: Matthew Sartin, Hunter Wilson, Bryce Wilson, Conner Self, and Cole Self. Pallbearers will be Matthew Boyett, Aaron Boyett, Joshua Boyett, Jerry Sartin, Matthew Sartin, and Kevin Smith.
