Obituary of Alva Hilburn Warner

Funeral services for Alva Hilburn Warner age 96 of Grayson will be held 2:30 p m Wednesday September 14, 2016 from the Columbia chapel of Riser Funeral Home with the Rev. Shane Duke officitating. Interment with full military honors will follow in the Welcome Home Cemetery at Grayson. Visitation will be at the Riser Funeral Home on Tuesday September 13, 2016 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. . Alva Hilburn Warner was born on December 7, 1919 at Holum, Louisiana to the union of his parents Benjamin Lunsford Warner and Saletha Joisie Roark Warner and passed from this life on Sunday September 11, 2016 at the Northeast Louisiana War Veterans Home in Monroe. He served in the United States Navy and was a member of the Holum Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Millie Kenworthy Warner; his son: Alva Everett Warner; his grandchildren: Russell Warner and Keith Warner; his daughter-in-law: Mary Frances Warner; his sons-in-law: Gordon Taylor and Charles Burroughs. Left to cherish his memory are his sons: Billy Ray Warner and Bennie Wayne Warner both of Grayson; his daughters: Wanda Taylor and Cathy Burroughs both of Carthage, Texas; his grandchildren: Misty Brien (Kevin), Brandy Warden (Brad), Dewayne Warner, Kit Warner(Kelly), Kolter Warner and Kristi Zalman; his great-grand-children: William Brien, Tanner Warden, William Warner, Kobe Warner, Konner Warner, Joey Zalman, Mikayla Zalman and Alex Warner.
