Pat the news of the passing of Mrs. Helen. She was quite a lady and saw so much in her life. She was one of the greatest of the greatest generation. I consider myself blessed for having known her. She and Mr. Troy are now reunited again. God bless you and your family and take comfort in the people that she touched in her life and the fact that she was a great Mother.

We are very sorry to get word of your loss, she was one great Lady. My Dad was Gus Gaugh, and his Father Ben Gough lived with Helen and Troy, in his latter years. We visited them when we made visits to see GrandPa Ben. We were always welcome and to feel part of their family, during those visits. We wish we could travel more but the years are limiting the activities that we can participate in. May God bless all the family with loving memories of the good times. She will be remembered by us as a very delightful and Joyful Relative and friend.

I am saddened by the passing of Ms. Helen, for she was a light and encouragement to all she came in contact with. Although it has been many years since I saw her I still remember vividly her for her love and caring as I was a child. The McDaniel family of which she anchored was a pillar to their community and I am grateful to carry the name sake “Troy” of the great man whom Ms. Helen shared her life. I know she will surely be missed by her friends and family, but they should trust that she is comfortably in the care of Jesus for now and eternity. We should all use the example of this great soul in loving, caring for, & encouraging each other as she had such a positive impact on us all. In a strange way her legacy lives on with me, not only in the investment she made in me with her kindness but also in a Plum tree she once gave me, as a child, and I planted on our house place in Kelly, La,. The tree lives on and produces fruit as she still lives on, and yes, still produces fruit! In His grace, Dane McGuffee

Mamaw Helen was a wonderful Grandma to every child that ever attended Kelly Baptist Church. She loved us all but took no beans about correcting us if she saw fit. I wish there were more Grandma's with her love, care and concern for children in the world today. "Mamaw, you will be missed and cherished by many and loved by us all! Rest and be proud of all the lives you touched.' To you all, I send love, prayers and may you feel the Lord's arms around you to hold and comfort you in this time of your loss.

We celebrate the life of a woman dear to me. She made me laugh, expected alot of me, and taught me even more. Mamaw, I hope you dance... Thank you for all of the thoughts and prayers being sent to our family. I appreciated all those that took care of Mamaw during the last few years. You were her angels. Bless you.

A beautiful picture of Ms Helen. I remember my first meeting, at the store, she always had a smile and kind things to say. I know you will miss her.
