Obituary of Nathan Samuel Hester

Funeral services for Nathan Samuel Hester, 89 of Grayson will be held 2:00 PM Monday February 13, 2017 from the sanctuary of Cross Roads Baptist Church with Rev. Shane Duke officiating. Bro. Tommy Nelson will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Cross Roads Cemetery under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia. Visitation will be at the church on Monday from 11:00 AM until time of service.Nathan Samuel Hester was born on October 10, 1927 to the union of his beloved parents Samuel Nathan Hester and Thelma Estelle Parker. To know them as with Nathan was to love them. He passed from this life on February 10, 2017 at his residence following a brief illness. Nathan was an active member of Cross Roads Baptist Church and had been extremely involved in the deaf community of north Louisiana. He was preceded in death by his wife Hazel , by his parents, and by his brother and sister in law: Ellis Hester and Marcille Hester, and sister-in-law: Genny Hester.Left to cherish a lifetime of memories are his sister: Carolyn Hendricks and husband Ray of West Monroe and his brother Johnny Hester and Robert Hester; nieces and nephew: Tammy and Roy Wise, Jennifer and Brad McNeely and Justin and Mandy Richardson; and six great nieces and nephews.The family would like to extend a special thank you to Christal Medaries for all of her love and support shown to Nathan during his time of illness.Serving as pallbearers will be Roy Wise, Chad Wise, Justin Richardson, Brad McNeely, Carl Dunn and Parker McNeely.
