Obituary of Thomas Louis Taylor

Funeral services for Thomas Louis Taylor, age 92 of Olla, will be held at 10 AM Tuesday, February 21, 2017 from the sanctuary of Zion Hill Baptist Church, HWY 127, west of Olla, LA, with Bro. Jesse Henderson officiating. Interment will follow at Zion Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, February 20, 2017 at Zion Hill Baptist Church from 5 PM to 9 PM. Mr. Taylor was born on July 5, 1924 in Hennon Camp, LA to the union of his parents, Balem Edward Taylor and Mary Hatten Taylor and passed from this life on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Hardtner Medical Center, Urania, LA. Thomas was a decorated veteran with the Army who served in the Korean Conflict and WWII. He retired as a car salesman after many years and was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. He was met at Heaven's gate by his beloved wife of 67 years, Mollie H. Taylor; his parents; his sons: Roger Dee Taylor and Kevin “Buster” Taylor and his sister, Opal Reitzell, Those left to cherish his memory are his sons: Eddie Taylor of Winn Parish, Tommy Taylor of Grayson, John Kim Taylor and wife, Bit of Olla; daughters: Vicki Taylor and Julie Taylor Woods and husband, Raven both of Winn Parish; grandchildren: Perry Taylor, Mike Taylor, Micheal Dee Taylor, Josh Taylor, Jonathan Taylor, Dana Taylor, Brett McManus, Stacey Wiggins, Natasha Wells, Chris Ford, Laci Stalcup and numerous great-grandchildren.
