Obituary of Malvin Malcolm Smith

Funeral services for Malvin (Buddy) Smith, age 88 of Grayson, La. will be held at 3:00 PM , Sunday the 12th of March, at the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Randy Bureaux officiating. Interment will follow at Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson, LA. Visitation will be Saturday March 11, 2017 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM in Riser Funeral Home Chapel Mr. Smith was born in Kelly, LA on May 4, 1928 to the union of Stanley (Bearcat) and Lillian Smith. Mr. Smith went home to his bride on March 10, 2017 at West Monroe Guest House in West Monroe, La. He was a sawyer by trade. He was a son, husband, dad, brother, papaw and great papaw by the loving grace of God. He has been a member of Grayson Baptist Church for over 50 years. He was met in heaven by his parents, wife, Maurine, daughter, Deborah, son, Malcolm, brothers, Jimmie, Dean and Reginald, sisters, Joyce, Jean and Rose. Survivors include daughter, Karen Bellah and husband Ron, brother, Elmer Smith, sisters, Imogene Claunch and Loyce Calloway. Grandchildren: Karen Walls (Robert), Stanley Bellah (Shanda), Michael Bellah, Bear Smith (Sherry), Matthew Smith (Anna), Molly Johnston (Leigh), Mandie Johnson (Mitch). Great grandchildren: Josef and Jaden Walls, Connor and Seth Bellah, Blakeley and Waylon Bellah, Madison, Kaitlyn, Hailey Smith. MJ Johnson, Ella Johnston. Pallbearers will be Stanley and Michael Bellah, Malcolm and Matthew Smith, Walter and Lance Stapleton.
