Obituary of Jimmy Ray Eubanks

Funeral services for Jimmy Ray Eubanks age 85 of Urania will be held 10:00 AM Friday March 24, 2017 at the Olla chapel of Riser Funeral Home with the Rev. E.R. Johnson and Rev. Clay Hutto officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery at Urania. Visitation will be on Thursday March 23, 2017 at Riser Funeral Home in Olla from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Jimmy Ray Eubanks was born on November 29, 1931 at Kelly, LA to the union of his parents John Calvin Eubanks and Mary Ella Riser Eubanks and he passed from this life on Tuesday March 21, 2017 at the La Salle General Hospital in Jena. Mr. Eubanks served his country in the United States Air Force for twenty years retiring as a Chief Master Sergeant and after his military years he became a special agent with United States Customs serving for twenty-two years. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Iris Evonne Eubanks and by a son: Nick Eldon Eubanks. Mr. Eubanks was an avid sportsman loving camping along with hunting and fishing. Left to cherish a lifetime of memories he leaves behind three sons: Larry Ray Eubanks and his wife Melissa of Sikes, Johnny Keith Eubanks and his wife Donna of Pineville and Steven Eubanks and his wife Beth of Pollock; two daughters: Vickie Janiece Neal and husband Andrew of Trout and Karla Faye Lee and husband Ronald Keith Lee of Urania; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers will be Daniel Ray Eubanks, Hunter Eubanks, Justin Eubanks, Jonathan Lee, Robert Neal and Stephen McClure. Jeffrey Johnson will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
