Obituary of Ace Catlin

Funeral services for Ace Catlin, age 56 of Kelly, will be held at 2 PM Sunday, March 26, 2017 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home, Columbia with Bro. E.R. Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Little Star Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Riser Funeral Home, Columbia from 5 PM to 9 PM. Ace was born on September 25, 1960 in Barton, NY to the union of his parents, Homer John Catlin and Mavis Bratton Catlin and passed from this life on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his loved ones. He worked for many years in the oilfield. Ace was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a beloved husband, dad and brother. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Pam Bratton. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Tracy Catlin of Kelly; sons: Adam Catlin and wife, Lauren of Ruston and Dustin Catlin and wife, Dorothy of Joyce; daughter, Bailey Catlin of Kelly; step-son, Adam Sanders of Kelly; step-daughter, Ashley Sanders and husband, Drell Cheffin of Clarks; brothers: Cliff Catlin and wife, Annie of Marion and George Catlin of Hebert; sisters: Melba Catlin of West Monroe, Clara Mason and husband, Derrell of Spearsville, Violet Cox of Tullos and Pearl Burch of Columbia and grandchildren: Leah Catlin, Addison Catlin and Tripp Cheffin. Pallbearers will be Johnny Roberts, James Perry, Seth Dark, Ray Bratton, Eddie Dunn and John Cox.
