Obituary of James Andrew Masters

Funeral services for James Andrew Masters, age 56 of Columbia, will be held at 2 PM Saturday, April 1, 2017 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home, Columbia. Interment will follow at Welcome Home Cemetery, Grayson. Visitation will be Friday, March 31, 2017 at Riser Funeral Home, Columbia from 5 PM to 8 PM. Mr. Masters was born on August 22, 1960 in Tucson, AZ to the union of his parents and passed from this life on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at his residence. James worked as a crane operator in the oilfields. He enjoyed the outsdoors and liked hunting and some fishing. He is preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Duddy Masters. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Penny Boyd Masters of Columbia; father, Odis Masters of Columbia; son, Daniel Imel of Iowa; two brothers: Mark Masters of Winnsboro and Ethan Masters wife, Angelica of Columbia; two sisters: Patricia Ann Mosley husband, Preston of Willianna and Pamela Fugler of Pineville and two grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Justin McDaniel, Ethan Masters, Preston Mosley, David Masters, Micheal Poland and Billy Masters.
