Obituary of Mary Belle Carroll

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Belle Carroll, age 102 of Olla will be held 10:00AM Friday April 28, 2017 from the sanctuary of Olla First Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Dunn officiating. Interment will follow in the Olla Cemetery under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Olla. Visitation will be at the church on Friday from 9:00 AM until time of service.

Mary Belle Tousley Carroll was born on March 22, 1915 at Olla, LA to the union of her parents Samuel Edwin Tousley and Teresa Prestridge Tousley and she passed from this life on Tuesday April 25, 2017 at the Haven Nursing Center in Columbia.

Mary Carroll was a member of the First Baptist Church of Olla and owned and operated Carroll Building Supply in Olla from 1956 to 1986. She was a 1931 graduate of Olla Standard High School. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband of sixty years; James Lee Carroll, Sr., her sister Alice Tedllie, and her brothers: Dan E. Tousley and Edwin Tousley.

Left to cherish her memory, her two sons: James Lee Carroll, Jr and wife Ilene of Olla and Samuel William Carroll and wife Cathy of Bossier City, LA; six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Pat McDougald, Mike McDougald, Bob Albritton, William Moody, Joel Sims and Charles Ford.
