Obituary of Ernest Wesley Hatten

Ernest Wesley Hatten, known lovingly as Wes passed from this life on Tuesday May 2, 2017 at his residence in West Monroe following a lengthy illness. He was surrounded by family members as he slipped away into eternity. 

Ernest Wesley Hatten was born on January 2, 1954 in Pasadena, Texas to the union of his parents William Brown Hatten and Blanche Enid Newton Hatten. He lived a great portion of his life in the Houston-Pasadena, Texas area where his dad was employed, and then later lived in the Monroe-West Monroe, LA area. Wes was a loving son, brother and friend. He had a great sense of humor and lived for his family. He was preceded in death by his parents and by two sisters; Irma Lee Hoggatt and Violet E. Hill; two brothers: Ellis Hatten and Buck Curry; he also is preceded in death by three nieces: Kim Hoggatt, Faith Hoggatt and Summer Philippi.

Left to cherish a lifetime of memories are his brother, Mike Hatten and three sisters: Lena Hatten of West Monroe and Jessie Johnson and Jamie Hatten both of Portland, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.

A "Celebration of Life" will be held at 11AM, Saturday, May 13, 2017 at The Pavilion at Seventh Square, 1700 N. 7th St. #B, West Monroe, LA. Family and friends are invited to attend.
