Obituary of Jonie Frank Patton

Funeral services for Mr. Jonie F. Patton, age 83, of Clarks will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, July 20, 2017 from the Columbia chapel of Riser Funeral Home with Bro. Roland Garcia officiating. Interment will follow in the New Union Cemetery at Tullos. Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at the funeral home from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. 

Jonie Frank Patton was born on March 30, 1934 at Columbia, LA to the union of his parents, Frank and Donie Monk Patton and passed from this life on Sunday, July 16 at the Citizens Medical Center in Columbia following an extended illness. Jonie was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend. His family was his life.  He was preceded in death by his daughter Jan Patton  Meredith and his son Terry Joe Patton.

Left to cherish a lifetime of memories are one son, Frank “Bubbie” Patton and wife, Kim of Joyce, LA; his daughter, Shirley Hickey and husband, Glenn of North Augusta, South Carolina; his sister, Audrey Mae Peavy of Columbia; his children's mother, the love of his life and his cottonfield sweetheart, Jettie McDowell; a very special friend and caregiver: Vickie Masters of Columbia; his beloved grandchildren: David Hagan and wife, Jennifer, Kasey Meredith and wife, Kimbra, Michael Meredith and wife, Miranda, Nikki Allbritton and husband, Richard, Brent Patton, Matthew Patton, April Patton, Amanda Hagan, Brandon Griffis, Logan Griffis, and a host of great-grandchildren.
