Dear Richardson family,
We loved, respected and admired Mr. Richardson, and we were so lucky to have his steady leadership and calm, positive influence in our lives when we were young. He was a serious man of education, but he had a natural kindness that you could feel when he spoke to you. You knew he cared and was interested in you as a person, and he wanted you to succeed. We will miss him and will always remember him, and we are so sorry for you loss.

My Uncle Curt was a God-filled, family centered man. He was the son of two very strong, determined parents who wanted their children to be the very best they could be and have a true passion for life. Although our sorrow is heavy now, he and his sister, my mom, taught us to never allow the sorrows of life to overshadow the joys of living. As a family, we will mourn his loss but cherish his memory and take great joy in the belief that he is rejoicing with his family in Heaven.

Mark and family,
Very sorry to see this post, and sorry for the loss of your dad. No matter how long they live, it is never long enough. I will have ya'll all in my thoughts and prayers in these tough days and weeks ahead. We have a hope that gives us confidence that he has left this temporary home to go to his eternity with family that has gone on before in Heaven. I pray that God will comfort you and your family in this time.

So sorry to hear about Mr. Richardson's passing. He was a great, Christian man with the highest of integrity. He was a cousin to my grandmother , whom was also raised at Pistol Thicket . I have many fond memories of good people from that community. Now you have joined many of them in Heaven. You've left a wonderful legacy. Sending love & prayers to all! God bless all of you . RIP Mr. Richardson

Mr. Richardson was my all time favorite educator. I never was a child to get in trouble but the one time I got sent to his office I was in the 3rd grade. I was fine until I stood before him and had to tell him why I was there. I was crying so hard I could hardly talk. He smiled and patted me on the back and told me i needed to apologize. I was a stubborn child and just said yes sir and he sent me on my way. I being the hard head i was did not apologize but the next day he followed up to see if I had done as he asked. Let's just say I had to sit in the hallway in front of his office the next day. This taught me a true lesson in life. I always appreciated him and I can say he truly loved his students. My heart hurts to hear of his passing but just know the children's lives he touched are more than we could ever count. I am just one from Urania Elem and I know I made him proud. Many years later I ran into him and we spoke of my career as a nurse and he asked about my two brothers. Then we laughed about me sitting in front of that office and how it never happened again. Then he gave me that big ol hug that only Mr. Richardson could give. My prayers are truly with your family as you lay this sweet man to rest.

Have so many fond memories of Curtis. He was my cousin first, my teacher at LaSalle, a fellow teacher at LaSalle, my principal while I taught at Urania Elementary. I even helped plan his retirement party. Know each of you are going to miss him but we know where he is and that there are lots of folks glad to see him there. Love to all.
