Obituary of Eva Kathrin Stamper

 

EVA KATHRIN WHITEHEAD STAMPER

Funeral services for Eva Kathrin Whitehead Stamper will be held 2:00 PM Sunday July 30, 2017 from the Columbia chapel of Riser Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Sunday as well from 10:00 AM until time of service at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in the Cross Roads Cemetery at Grayson.Nathan Ray Roark will minister in song while Savannah Kathrin Perot Rupert, will share memories of Kathrin's life.

Mrs. Stamper was born February 26, 1943, in Columbia Louisiana. Kathrin passed from this life on July 28th, 2017 at her daughters home in Shreveport Louisiana, with her husband, daughter and son in law by her side.She was proceeded in death by her parents, Eber Shelf and Naomi Poole Whitehead from Rosefield, Louisiana, brother Glen Roark, from Entrerprise Louisiana, and sister Georgia Phillips, from Olla, Louisiana.Kathrine graduated from Enterprise High School in 1961.She and her husband, CL, traveled the entire country, east to west and north to south, lived in the mountains and down on the bayou, fished, hunted, camped and lived life large. Together they enjoyed God's splendid nature and gardening. She was organic before people knew what it was.Kathrin was full of life. She was a person that loved and thanked God every day for her many blessings. She loved her family and lived life with a fun, to the point attitude . She was softhearted and always caring toward all animals. She especially loved cooking for her family and others who will attest to some of the best soul/southern home cooking that could be found. Always teaching someone how to cook (her) way.She is survived by her loving husband, Caroll Lynn Stamper, from Columbia Louisiana; sister, Gwen Roark, of Olla, Louisiana, her devoted caring daughter Yulonda DeMoss Mayo and husband Ray Cody Mayo, Jr. of Shreveport, Louisiana; and loving sons, Ronald Glenn DeMoss of Shreveport, Louisiana and Shannon Jay DeMoss, of Minden, Louisiana; ten grand children and eleven great grand children; along with a host of loved ones, including Gary Stamper from Atlanta, Georgia, Terry Stamper from Grayson, Louisiana, Ashlee Phelps, Stacy Washburn and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Chase and Colby Perot, Dustin, Daniel, Shaye, Hunter, and Corey DeMoss. Honorary : Dallas and Samual DeMoss

The family wishes to thank Rev. Dr. Wayne Carter and Rev. Dr. Rowena White of St. Marks Cathedral of Shreveport for the caring spiritual support they shared.

Kathy will be missed and in our memories for our lifetime.
