Obituary of Clyde Duane Wyant

Funeral services for Clyde D. Wyant , 79 of Columbia will be held 2:00 PM Saturday August 19, 2017 from the Columbia chapel of Riser Funeral Home with Rev. Shane Duke and Rev. Mark London officiating. Interment will follow in the Rosefield Cemetery at Rosefield, LA. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday August 18, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Clyde Wyant was born on February 8, 1938 in Caldwell Parish to the union of his parents Henry Denius Wyant and Amy Cassells Wyant and he passed from this life on August 17, 2017 at the Caldwell Memorial Hospital in Columbia following an extended illness. He was a commercial fisherman most of his life and a carpenter. He was preceded in death by his parents, son-in-law: Carl Bustin, and by his siblings: Little Henry Wyant, H.D. Wyant, Earl Wyant, Maloy Wyant, Benji Wyant and Verina McKee. He was a  member of the Baptist faith.

Left to cherish his memory: his wife of forty seven years, Ann Stout Wyant of Columbia, two daughters: Tressia Bustin of Winnfield and Anita Bradford and husband Todd of Jonesville; four sons: Alfred Wyant,of LaGrange, Texas, Larry Wyant and wife Pam of LaGrange, Texas; Kenneth Wyant and wife Carmen of Spring Branch, Texas; Jimmy Fletcher Wyant and wife Elizabeth of Olla, LA; three brothers: Archie Wyant and wife Virginia of Columbia, Charlie Wyant of Copenhagen and Calvin Ray Wyant of Caney Lake, LA; fourteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ronnie Wyant, Jeff Wyant, Tony Wyant, Steve Wyant, Bryan Grant and Jeremy Fletcher. Honorary pallbearers include Sheriff Clay Bennett, Marshall Fisher, Billy Masters, Freddy Grant, and Billy Wayne Griffin.
