Obituary of Patricia Ann Spikes

Funeral services for Patricia Ann Spikes, age 72, of Columbia, will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday August 21, 2017 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Bro. Ken Evans officiating. Interment will follow at Columbia Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 M until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Patricia was born June 17, 1945 in Columbia and she passed away on August 18, 2017 at her home with loving friends and family around her.

She was retired from Columbia Elementary School. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Grayson. She loved gardening and her grandchildren very much. She loved sitting on her porch, rocking and watching hummingbirds. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years: Bo Spikes; her mother: Kathleen Murphy; her father: Herman Murphy and wife Marietta.

She is survived by two sons: Brent Spikes and his wife Shannon of Fort Wayne, IN; Keith Spikes and David Gray of Elizabeth, IL; two daughters: Sandy Tucker and her husband Gary of Columbia; Karen Moore and her husband Tim of Eros; brother: Herman Murphy and his wife Barbara of Jena; Jeanette Knapp and her husband Howard of Denver, CO; grandchildren: Julie Santos, Jeff Tucker, Tim Moore, Cody Moore, Casey Moore, Aaron Spikes, Adalyn Spikes, and Quinton Spikes.

Pallbearers will be Zeb Tucker, Jason Maxwell, Roger Murphy, Daniel Ferguson, Bryan Girod, and Clif Murphy.
