Obituary of James Olen Murry

Funeral services for James Olen Murry, age 54, of Urania, will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Olla First Baptist Church with Bro. Greg Dunn officiating. Interment will follow at Urania Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the church.

James was born to the union of Olen Overton Murry and Joann Albritton in Deridder and he passed from this life on August 20, 2017 at St. Francis Cabrini Medical Center in Alexandria.

He was employed at Louisiana Pacific and an offshore worker until he was disabled. James loved his Harley and all of his Harley friends and family. He was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother, and paw paw. He was preceded in death by his father: Olen Overton Murry; grandparents: Obie Murry an Gertrude Murry; Mae Street and Allie Street; nephew: Davis O. Young.

He is survived by his sons: Kolby Neal Olen Murry and James Trace Murry; stepson: Trevor Cruse; parents: JoAnn and Johnny Albritton; sisters: Dewanna Young and her husband Davis Young; Tammy Wilson and her husband Billy Wilson; grandchildren: Shaun Allen Murry and Kolton Paul Murry; nephews: Jerod Foster, Daylin Young, Garth Wilson, and Luke Wilson; niece: DeAnn Aycock.
