I served with Dan 3rd Plt, Charlie Company, 6th Bn 31st Inf, 9th Div in 1968 republic of VN. A great friend, a great soldier, a brave man, a terrific guy, I am shocked. Pro Patria brother I only wish I would have known in time to stand and salute you and your family in La. I will notify his other brothers I am sure many will respond. Total respect for Dan McCarty shocked to tears to hear of his passing. Al Olson.
