Obituary of Marty Lea Bradford

Funeral services for Marty Lea Bradford, age 86 of Columbia will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, September 23, 2017 from the sanctuary of Columbia Heights Baptist Church with the Rev. Warren Maxwell officiating. Interment will follow in the New Union Cemetery at Tullos under direction of Riser & Son Funeral Home of Columbia. Visitation will be from 5 PM until 8 PM Friday, September 22, 2017 at the church.

Marty Lea Berry Bradford was born on May 27, 1931 in Caldwell Parish to the union of her parents, John Jefferson Berry and Quanita Dupree Berry and she passed from this life on September 20, 2017 at the Citizens Medical Center in Columbia following an extended illness. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She loved to crochet, cross stich, and loved studying her bible. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Willie G. “Dub” Bradford; her sister, Evelyn Gunn and two brothers: Chester Berry and Lester Berry. She was a member of Columbia Heights Baptist Church.

Left to cherish a lifetime of memories are her son, Willie “Bill” Bradford and wife, Loretta of Calhoun; her grandchildren: Lynn Linton and husband, Conard of Columbia and Jessica Bradford of Natchitoches; two great-grandsons: Lane Linton and Trade Linton; her brother, Alvin Berry of Grayson and four sisters: Dottie Masoner, Bobbie Gunn, and Charlene Nutt, all of Columbia and Daisy Black of Grayson.

Pallbearers will be Conard Linton, Lane Linton, Butch Tolbert, James Steele, Robbie Cooke, and Clint May.
