Obituary of Billy Duanne Reitzell
Billy Duanne "Wrench" Reitzell age 56 of Clarks, Louisiana passed from this life on October 18th at his residence following a brief illness. Duanne was born on February 1st 1961 to the union of his parents Billy Ray Reitzell and Vonez Dunn Reitzell. Duanne was preceded in death by his Father Billy Ray Reitzell, paternal Grandparents Maurice "Dad" Reitzell and Alice Reitzell, Maternal Grandparents Earnest and Annie Dunn, and Aunt Virginia Beasley. Left to cherish his memory are his Mother Vonez Dunn Reitzell, Daughter Katherine Reitzell Hearne and husband Brad, Daughter Kala Reitzell, Five grandsons of whom he all gave unique nicknames, Gabriel "Goober," Khristian "Homer," Michael "Dennis The Menace," Hunter "Whino Willy" Jeremiah "Bullfrog," Kellie Bratton Walton who is the Mother of his daughter Kala, and who was a beloved friend of Duanne with whom he shared a close relationship and an unbreakable bond. Duanne also leaves behind his Brothers Stanley Doffitt, Kenneth "Peewee" Fitzgerald, Sam "Pappy" Tidwell, and Sister Pam Doffitt. Special friends Randy and Donna Benson, Jeremy Carter, and Logan Edwards. As well as many other beloved family, fellow biker friends, good friends and shop customers. Duanne was owner and operator of Kala's Custom Harley Shop in Clarks, Louisiana. Duanne built award winning custom motorcycles, customized motorcycles, as well as had an amazing artistic ability to do the most gorgeous custom paint jobs. Duanne was a master of his craft and people would come from all over to have him work on their motorcycles. Duanne rode in many charity and benefit rides, for both individuals, organizations, and causes. Such as the M.D.A. Children's Coalition for 10 years, Cancer benefit rides, and an Autism Awareness ride, just to name a few. There were countless others. Not only did Duanne ride in these events, he made donations both monetary and through prizes as well as helped organize many. Duanne's heart was as big as his love for riding, building, painting, customizing, and working on motorcycles. He was loved by many and will be missed by all.
There will be a memorial service held for Duanne in the chapel of Riser & Son Funeral home in Columbia on Wednesday October 25, 2017 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Danny Trichell officiating. Visitation will be held same day as the memorial from 9 a.m. until beginning of the memorial at 10 a.m.
