Obituary of Louise Parker Nelson
Funeral services for Louise Parker Nelson, age 87 of Grayson will be held 2:00 PM Friday, December 29, 2017 from the sanctuary of Cross Roads Baptist Church at Grayson with Bro. Shane Duke officiating. Interment will follow in the Cross Roads Cemetery under direction of Riser & Son Funeral Home of Columbia. Visitation will be on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at the church from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Louise Parker Nelson was born on July 18, 1930 at Columbia to the union of her parents, Thomas Wade Parker and Arcalia Hester Parker. She passed from this life on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Louise was known for her lovely and sweet personality and also for her unwavering faith in her Lord Jesus Christ. To know Louise was to love her. She was an active member of the Cross Roads Baptist Church and her family and church family was her life. Ms. Louise was a friend to all. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Clayton Nelson; her parents; and a brother, Thomas Lawrence “Pete” Parker.
Left to cherish a lifetime of memories are her two sons: Tommy Nelson and wife, Cheryl of Grayson and Larry Nelson and wife, Jamilu of Dyersburg, TN; her brother, Jerry Parker of Beckman, TN and her two sisters: Mattie Weeks of Grayson and Viola McManus and husband, Shelby of West Monroe; four grandchildren: Wes Nelson and wife, Carla, Tracy Babuseck and husband, Dan, Casey Holyfield and Melissa Moreland; ten great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Tony Weeks, Wesley Nelson, Wyatt harrell, Isaac Moreland, Gary Nelson and Johnny Hester.
