Obituary of Charles Lee Richardson, JR

Funeral services for Charles Lee Richardson, Jr. age 57 of Columbia will be held 2:00 PM Saturday December 30, 2017 from the sanctuary of Bethany Baptist Church at Hebert, 1740 Hwy 133, Columbia, LA, with Bro. Brian Rankin and Bro. Roger Burke officiating.  Interment will follow in the Bethany Cemetery under direction of Riser & Son Funeral Home of Columbia.  Visitation will be on Friday December 29, 2017 at the funeral home from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday from 11:00 AM until time of service at Bethany Baptist Church.

Charles Lee Richardson, Jr. was born on March 14, 1960 in Jackson, MS to the union of his parents C.L. Richardson, Sr. and Margaret L. Watkins Richardson, and passed from this life on December 28, 2017 at the University Healthcare-Conway in Monroe following an extended illness.  Charlie was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Richardson, and was a member of the Brookhaven Seventh-day Adventist Church in Brookhaven, MS.  Charlie was an avid car lover and collector and his favorites were older model Cadillacs and Lincolns.  He loved fast trucks, and was known as a jokester.  He was very proud of his children.

Left to cherish his memory, his beloved wife Kathy Poole Richardson of Columbia; his son, Lee Richardson and wife Amber of Columbia; two daughters, Kelly Warner and husband Kit of Grayson and Sabrina Boyd and husband Troy Boyd, Jr. of Columbia; his father C.L. Richardson of Bogue Chitto, MS; his brother Ronnie Richardson and wife Jeannine of Bogue Chitto, MS; his sister Deborah Burg and husband David of Decatur, MS; eight grandsons--Jamie, Cayden, Kobe, Avery, Maddox, Blake, Konner and Axton; in-laws Billie Joe Poole and Goldie; Bonita Brooks and husband Dennis; Regina Stewart and husband Peanut; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pallbearers are D.J. Leija, Jr, Daniel Rentz, Robert Blackwell, Peter Adams, Buddy Richardson, Wilmer Spangler III.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Bass Memorial Academy Worthy Student Fund, 6433 Hwy 11, Lumberton, MS  39455.
