Obituary of Jean Holmes Blazier

Mrs. Jean Holmes Blazier , 88 years old Columbia resident died January 9, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband Huey Pierce Blazier. For the last seven years she had served as Activities Director at the Dixie Center in Olla. She had also worked many years at the Burger Barn in Olla making biscuits for everyone . She was the “biscuit lady.” Years ago when our family lived in Houma, LA several years she had her own beauty shop “ Lady be Lovely.” She loved working and visiting with her friends. She was a member of the Cross Roads Baptist Church in Grayson.

Services will be held at the Cross Roads Baptist Church at 2:00 PM Friday January 12, 2018 . Visitation will be at the church from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday January 11, 2018. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Trish and David Varnell; grandsons Hughy Paul Williams and Joey Dean Varnell; great-grand-sons: Avery Williams, Khailon Williams and Taryn Jackson Varnell; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Pallbearers will be Joey Varnell, Taryn Varnell, Avery Williams , Glen Menefee, Bubba Moses and Khailon Williams.
