Obituary of Gilbert Eugene Hoadley

Gilbert Eugene Hoadley, 71, of Houston, Texas and formerly of Olla passed from this life on January 10, 2018 at the Park Manor Nursing Facility in Houston, Texas. Mr. Hoadley was born on November 3, 1946 to the union of his parents, Cyrus Earl Hoadley and Joyce Katherine Robinson Hoadley, He was a welder by trade. He is preceded in death by his father and his brother, Willis Lee Hoadley. Gilbert was a Shriner for twenty-five plus years. He was a Master Mason and a member of the Grotto as well. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Alvin, Texas and also a member of the El Mina Shriners for twenty five years. He was devoted  to his work with the Shriners as they have many hospitals across the United States which help handicapped  and crippled children and those fighting muscular disease. He was a loving son, brother and uncle.

He is survived by his mother, Joyce K. Hoadley of Olla and two sisters: Mary Stahl and husband, Fred of Crawford, Colorado and Jo Ann McBride of Odessa, Texas, and a number of nieces and nephews. The family lovingly chose cremation as a means of disposition per Mr. Hoadleys request.
