Obituary of William Mike Carmichael

William “Mike” Carmichael was born on September 5, 1953 in New Hanover County, North Carolina and passed from this life on January 10, 2018 at his home in Columbia. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Kay Mintz Ducket and Duncan A. Carmichael. Mike left behind a loving and devoted wife, Debbie Carmichael; two loving sons: William “Chris” Carmichael and wife, Jo Anne  from Vancouver, Washington and Micah Carmichael and wife, Kennedy of Grayson, Louisiana. Also left to cherish his memory are two loving step-sons: Dewayne Canterberry and wife, Amanda of Gulfport, Mississippi and Dustin Hayden and significant other, Hannah Gough of Olla, LA. He was also a grandfather to six grandchildren. Mike was a retired respiratory therapist. He was a kind and understanding friend, father, husband and grandfather who will be greatly missed by many people.

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, January 18, 2018 at St. Louis Church in Houma, Louisiana.
