Obituary of Billy Ray McNemar

Funeral services for Billy Ray McNemar, age 60, of Columbia, will be held at 11:00 AM, Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Old Bethel Baptist Church in Clarks with Bro. Stephen Laughlin officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Sunday from 9:00 AM until service time at the church.

Billy Ray was born October 8, 1957 to the union of Charles and Hattie Kirby McNemar in Columbia and he passed from this life on January 18, 2018.

He was a retired riverboat captain. Had a kind heart and was always busy helping others. He had a true servant’s heart. He was a great husband, father, and grandfather. He loved his family very much. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife: Vickie McNemar of Columbia; sons: Nick McNemar of Columbia; Josh McNemar and his wife Kiley of Summerville; Hunter McNemar of Columbia; brother: Troy McNemar of Smithdale, MS; sisters: Patricia Faye Sharp and her husband Jesse of Smithdale, MS; Marilyn McNemar of West Monroe; Anita Hazlewood and her husband Steve of Summitt, MS; grandchildren: Shae McNemar, Bubba McNemar, Damon Hall, Jayden McNemar, Chase McNemar, and Hazel McNemar.

Pallbearers will be the Deacons of Old Bethel Baptist Church.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Doug Stamper, Gary Holmes, and Charles Wayne Kenworthy.
