Obituary of Ron Laird

Funeral services for Ron Laird, age 52, of Kelly, will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Olla First Baptist Church with Bro. Greg Dunn and Bro. Scott Fletcher officiating. Interment will follow at Roberts Cemetery in Kelly. Visitation will be Saturday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the church. There will be a Masonic Service at the graveside. Services are under the direction of Riser Funeral Home of Olla.

Ron was born April 25, 1965 to the union of Ronnie and Hazel Laird in Port Lavaca, TX and he passed from this life on February 15, 2018 at his residence in Kelly.

He was a member of Kelly Baptist Church. He loved traveling with his family. He also enjoyed duck hunting and roping. He was Past Master of the Charles F. Buck 260 Masonic Lodge in Urania. He was a member of the Monroe Scottish Right and a member of the Monroe Barak Shriners. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Doris and Stick Laird; Ida and Chelsie Hudson.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years: Brandy Laird of Kelly; son: Ronnie “Jed” Laird, III, and his wife Jessica of Pineville; daughters: Sierra Roark and her husband Dakota of Kelly; Sidni Laird of Kelly; his parents: Ronnie Laird, Sr. and Hazel Laird of Kelly; brother: Rob Laird and his wife Patty of Olla; grandchildren: Conner Reese Laird and Ava Beth Laird of Pineville; nieces: Holly and Megan Laird; friends from all over the world.

Pallbearers will be Mike Dunn, Mike Gough, Pat McDougald, Eddie Dunn, Colby Laird, and Ricky Hudson.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Paul Russell, Matthew Stephens, Jimbo Stephens, Jackie Harris, and Marty Hart.
