Obituary of Elma Patricia McDaniel

Elma Patricia McDaniel passed from this life on Saturday March 10, 2018 at her residence following a brief illness. Family and friends will gather on Tuesday March 13, 2018 at the chapel of Riser & Son Funeral Home in Columbia beginning at 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM to remember Patricia and the life she has lived. Remembrance service will be at 7:00 PM with Rev. Brian Rankin officiating.

Elma Patricia McDaniel was born on July 16, 1954 at Ferriday, LA to the union of her parents, David Lee McDaniel and Thelma D. Guimbellot. She was preceded in death by her father and a son; Daniel Lynn Daigre; and three infant grandchildren along with her grandparents Leon and Bertie Guimbellot and Gladys McDaniel. Patricia was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Gilbert. Patricia loved to socalize with people and enjoy a good cup of coffee with those around her. She could have been a stand up comic as she loved to make people laugh. Patricia was a sitter and helped so many people through the years in their times of need.

Left to cherish her memory is her mother, Thelma McDaniel of Columbia; two sons: Chris Hatton and John Miller; her daughter, Rebecca Hicks; her brother, Samuel Leon McDaniel, special niece, Bailey and four grandchildren, Brittney, David , Travis and Ian.
