Obituary of Myrtle E. Quaid

Funeral services for Myrtle E. Quaid, age 90, of Clarks, will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, March 20, 2018 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Bro. Shane Duke officiating. Interment will follow at Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson. Visitation will be Tuesday from 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.

Myrtle was born June 6, 1927 in Natchez, MS and she passed from this life on March 16, 2018 at Haven Nursing Center in Columbia.

She worked at the Columbia State School for 10 years and she loved those children she worked with. She loved gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband: Robert W. Quaid; sons: Jerry R. Quaid and Robert James Quaid; daughter: Evelyn Quaid.

She is survived by her sons: John Quaid of Clarks and Jimmy Quaid and his wife, Patty of St. Amant, LA; grandchildren: Jimmy L. Quaid of French Settlement, LA, Krista Quaid Brady of Prairieville, LA, Shannon Quaid of Holum, Shalamar of FL, and Brenda Kyle of Kelly; 9 great-grandchildren.
