Obituary of Beverly Ann Masters

Funeral services for Beverly Ann Masters age 77 of Columbia will be held 2:00 PM Thursday April 26, 2018 from the chapel of Riser & Son Funeral Home with Father Dale Meade and Bro. Sherman Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Welcome Home Cemetery at Grayson.Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 AM until time of service.

Beverly Ann Holloway Masters was born on January 13,1941 at Urania, LA to the union of James Davis Holloway and Lillian Smith Holloway and she passed from this life to life a new on Tuesday April 24, 2018 at the Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria following a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her husband James Masters, her parents, granddaughter Michelle Gomez; great-grandchild Noah Jackson Gomez; and her brother Kenneth Holloway. Beverly worked in the Caldwell Parish School System as a substitute teacher and a teachers aide and she was former  supervisor of the JTPA here in Caldwell Parish.. Beverly was a great cook, loved to crochet and loved her family with all her heart as they did her. She will be sorely missed.

Left to cherish a lifetime of memories are her daughter: Kimberly Gomez and husband Rocky of Columbia; three sons: Bill Masters and wife Vickie, Jimmy Masters and Benny Masters all of Columbia; two sisters: Barbara Miller of Alexandria, Carolyn Thornton of Urania; two brothers: David Holloway of Oakdale and Joel Holloway of Pollock; her precious grandhildren: Chase Masters, Brandon Masters, Michael Gomez and wife Sabri, Matthew Gomez, Marissa Gomez, Tina Gomez, Janice Schultz, Jenny Rowe, Jill Amante, and Miguel Idrach.

Serving as pallbearers will be Brandon Masters, Chase Masters, Matthew Gomez, Michael Gomez, David Franklin and Charles Smith. Miguel Idrach will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
