My thoughts and prayers are with your family during this difficult time. I had the honor of working and knowing Kathy at ULM. She was an inspiration to many of us and had a personality that would immediately make anyone feel at ease. I worked as her colleague and was Dean for the College of Allied Health and Rehabilitation Professions while she served as Department Head for the OT program. I also worked with her on the training modules for the EarlySteps program for Louisiana. I remember that one time we had to do a workshop in Baton Rouge. Kathy arranged for me to stay with her and her parents while there in Baton Rouge. I immediately saw how she was loved by her family and they were so proud of her. I know she had a kind heart for anyone she worked with and helped. She loved helping people and spoke of how much her family meant to her on our trips as we traveled around the state to do the EarlySteps trainings. She had a quick wit about her and I will always remember her laugh.

Dearest Family, I knew Kathy, "Mrs. Davis" as I was with NLU/ULM as Director of Recruitment/Prep Orientation. The outstanding OT program was supported by Kathy and her staff and we all gave a million tours of the Department and University. I am a better person for having known her. We lost touch after I retired and went to another hospitality job. Seeing this in the paper today saddened me, but I know there is another angel in heaven. She was a guiding light to me and other colleagues. God Bless you. Sincerely and with love, Patsy

Mike and girls and family,
I am so sorry to hear of Kathy's passing, but thankful for the great visit we had in Alexandria in March. I will always remember Kathy as a wonderful college roommate, beach reunion buddy, and cherished friend throughout the years. My heart is heavy, but I am thankful for her life and for her friendship. She made a real difference in this world, and she loved her family.
Sending hugs and prayers your way.
With much sympathy,

Praying...
I am reminded of the scripture: Absent from the body means present with the Lord.
I'm so glad I got to see you, Kathy, at the doctor's office as we reflected on our years of working together.
You will always be reminded for your hard work and dedication in serving those with disabilities.
Rest forever.
Michael
