Obituary of Davis Young

Funeral services for Davis Young, age 66, of Urania, will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, May 27, 2018 at Olla First Baptist Church with Bro. Denver McBroom officiating. Interment will follow at the Urania Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Riser Funeral Home in Olla and from 1:30 PM until service time at the church.

Davis was born to the union of Spencer and Lucy Westbrooks Young in Jena and he passed from this life on May 26, 2018 at his residence in Jena.

He was a hardworking man who worked in the woods and he loved to go fishing. He loved his family and his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son: Davis Overton Young; his parents; siblings: Clyde Young, Kenneth Young, Mae Coleman, Ilene Coleman, Mavis Young, and Edith Humble.

He is survived by his wife of 38 Years: Dewanna Young; son: Daylin Young and his fiancé Zana Cruse; daughter: Jackie Deann Aycock and her husband Johnny; brother: Spencer Young; sister: Jewell Coleman; grandchildren: Thaniel Young and Matt Cruse; nephew: Kenneth Robert Howell; sister-in-law: Tammy Wilson and her husband Billy; mother and father-in-law: Joann and Johnny Allbritton.

Pallbearers will be Jerod Foster, Garth Wilson, Kolby Murry, J.W. Summeral, Kevin Howell, and Tyler Richey.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Daniel Eubanks, Luke Wilson, Thaniel Young, Robbie Howell, and Pete Adams.
