Obituary of Mae Belle Young

Funeral services for Mae Belle Young, age 87, of West Monroe, will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, June 12, 2018 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Bro. Shane Carter officiating. Roland Garcia will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow at Fellowship Cemetery west of Columbia. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Mae Belle was born November 26, 1930 to the union of D.M. and Ada Justice in Columbia and she passed from this life on June 9, 2018 at her residence in West Monroe.

She attended Living Way Apostolic Church in West Monroe. She retired from Citizens Medical Center in Columbia after many years as a physical therapy assistant. She was preceded in death by her husband: John Saner Young; her parents; sister: Ailene Howard; brother: J.C. Justice.

She is survived by her son: Jimmy Young and his wife, Shirley of Columbia; daughter: Debbie Jones and her husband, Wayne of West Monroe; brother: John Justice and his wife Irma of West Monroe; sister: Wanda Justice Callander of Grayson; four grandchildren: Stony Young, Jeremy Young, Craig Jones, and Matthew Jones; five great-grandchildren: Blake Young, Rowdy Young, Brody Young, Rylee Rae Young, and Aria Jones.

Pallbearers will be Craig Jones, Matthew Jones, Stony Young, Jeremy Young, Blake Young, and Brody Young.
