Obituary of Russell William McClary

Funeral services for Russell William McClary, age 68 of Olla, will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, September 3, 2018 at Olla First Baptist Church with Bro. Shane Duke and Bro. Greg Dunn officiating. Interment will follow at Beech Creek Cemetery in Olla. Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the church.

Russell was born March 8, 1950 to the union of Calvin and Idell McClary in Columbia and he passed from this life on August 31, 2018 at Hardtner Medical Center in Urania.

He was a truck driver all of his working life and he was a Pastor for many years. He loved hunting and fishing and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his wife: Brenda Nugent McClary; son: Cal McClary; his parents.

He is survived by his son: Gary McClary and his wife Kristy of Palisade, CO; daughter: April Cotten and her husband David of Olla; brother: Waymon McClary and his wife Wanda of Keatchie, LA; grandchildren: Chelsey Cotten, Clay Cotten, Drew Dempewolf, Kyla McClary, Grayson McClary, Lauren McClary, and Emery McClary.

Pallbearers will be Jeff McClary, Bradley McClary, Bryan Nugent, Bull Barnhill, Bill Melder, and Warren Roshto.

Honorary Pallbearer will be Earl Poole.
