Obituary of Robert (T-Bob) Fuller Cassels, JR
Funeral services for Robert “T-Bob” Fuller Cassels, Jr., age 78 of Olla will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 12, 2018 from the sanctuary of Rosefield Baptist Church with Rev. Patrick Willis officiating. Interment will follow in the Rosefield Cemetery under direction of Riser & Son Funeral Home of Columbia. Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at the church from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. T-Bob was born on December 16, 1939 at Rosefield, LA to the union of his parents Robert Fuller Cassels, Sr. and Maggie Hazel Currington Cassels and he passed from this life on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at the Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe following an extended illness.
T-Bob was the oldest of three children. He graduated from Enterprise High School in 1958. He was a devoted father to his three daughters. He loved the Rosefield Community where he resided. T-Bob was a hardworking man. He was a retired school bus driver with the Catahoula Parish School System and he also worked with the Louisiana Pacific Plywood Division in Urania for many years. He owned his own pulpwood operation for several years as well. He enjoyed managing fish ponds in Enterprise for Bill Amsden. He was preceded in death by his parents and by a grandson Landon Cassels and by two nephews Shayne Lewis and Trevor Rogers.
Left to cherish a lifetime of memories are his daughters: Penny Buckalew (Marvin) of Kelly, Sarah Russell (Tommy) of Delhi and Mechelle Nash of Glenpool, Oklahoma; his beloved grandchildren: Robert Miniard, Amanda Fuller, Alex Nash, Madison Russell, Marla Nash, Mackenzie Russell, Raeghan Buckalew, Aaron Nash, Melissa Buckalew, Michelle Scroggs and Mandy Moore; great grandchildren: Jasmine, Anthony and Gabriel Fuller and Annalea Crain; his brother, Benny Cassels (Connie); sister, Bessie Lewis (H. C.) and nieces: Suzanne Rogers, Annette Ford, Kelly Hudnall, and Kathy Bower.
Serving as pallbearers will be Connor Hudnall, Tristen Scroggs, David Scroggs, Randy Benson, Gary Tucker and Dennis Cassels. Honorary pallbearers include Alex Nash, Robert Miniard, Brandon Tingle, Shane Townsend, Zeb Tucker and Kade Benson.
