Obituary of Sylvia Lorene Hatfield Inman

Funeral services for Sylvia Lorene Hatfield Inman, age 83 of Bellaire, Texas will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, November 16, 2018 from the Columbia chapel of Riser & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Charles McGuire and Bro. Bobby McGuire officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Bethel Cemetery at Clarks, LA. Visitation will be on Friday at the funeral home from 9:00 AM until time of service.

Sylvia Inman was born on November 11, 1935 at Clarks, LA to the union of her parents, George Wesley Hatfield and Lela Belle Johnson Hatfield and passed from this life on Tuesday, November 13,,2018 at the Com For Care Center in Bellaire, Texas following an extended illness. Sylvia was a counselor and loved working with her students. She was employed by Sul Ross University of Alpine, TX and the University of Houston for many years. She loved Caldwell Parish and regretted she was never able to return there to live. Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, S. M. Inman and a sister, Jeanette Tew.

Left to cherish her memory is her sister and brother-in-law: Barbara and James Farley of Houston, TX; step-children: Norma Schmelling and Travis Inman; and nieces: Deborah Dore' of Henderson, LA, Carmen Bates of Houston, TX and Courtney Stevens of Pearland, TX.

Serving as pallbearers will be Johnny McDaniel, Joey McGuire, Sidney Eubanks, Bobby Manes, Tommy Dore' and Chad Guidry.
