Obituary of Johnny C. Duchesne
Funeral services for Johnny Cee Duchesne, Sr., age 74 of Mangham, Louisiana and formerly of Hebert will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia, Louisiana with Keith Fife officiating. Interment will follow at Hebert Cemetery under the direction of Riser Funeral Home, Columbia. Visitation will be held from 5 PM until 8 PM Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at the funeral home.
Johnny Cee Duchesne passed from this life during the morning on November 26, 2018 at Richardson Medical Center in Rayville, LA. Johnny served in the United States Navy from 1961 through 1965 in San Diego, California. After being discharged, he returned to Louisiana with his wife, Sheila and son, Johnny. He was employed with Forest-Craft in West Monroe, Louisiana for 25+ years until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, being outdoors and the occasional trip to Monroe for a chili-cheese coney.
Johnny is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred C. Duchesne and Bettie Mae Bowden Duchesne; his son, Johnny C. Duchesne, Jr.; brothers: Samuel Alfred Duchesne, Sr. and Ray Duchesne; and sister, Jerry Womack.
He is survived by his grandchildren: Jessica Leigh Duchesne of Monroe, LA, Jeannie Lynn Duchesne of Calhoun, LA and Jacob Levi Duchesne of Little Rock, AR; a step-granddaughter, Elizabeth Ayer Corkern of Calhoun, LA; daughter-in-law, Phoebe Wells Duchesne of Calhoun, LA; great-grandchildren: Marcelline Elizabeth Duchesne, Brooklyn Ayer Balance and Allison Danielle Statham all of Calhoun, LA and Landon Derrick Duchesne of Little Rock, AR; brother, Vernon Duchesne and his wife, Barbara of Hebert, LA; and sisters: Betty Jo Fife of Norman, OK and Nancy Taylor and her husband, James of LaPorte, Tx; and his longtime sweetheart, Genelle Trahan.
Serving as pallbearers will be Terry Taylor, Randy Duchesne, Todd Duchesne, Sambo Duchesne, Brian Fife and Keith Fife.
