Obituary of William Joseph Dickey

Funeral services for William Joseph Dickey, age 83, of Kelly, will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, December 6, 2018 at the Apostolic Truth Tabernacle with Pastor Sherman Jones and Rev. Allan Hatten officiating. Interment will follow at Urania Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the church.

William was born August 26, 1935 to the union of Garland and Mary Caraway Dickey in Crowville and he passed from this life on December 2, 2018 at St. Francis Cabrini Medical Center in Alexandria.

He was a Godly man who was a member of the Apostolic Truth Tabernacle. He was an active hunter and he also loved to fish. He was a family oriented man and he could play any instrument by ear. He also loved gardening and raising chickens. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: Lonnie, Robert  and Daniel Dickey; one grandchild: J.J. Dickey.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years: Vicky Dickey; 4 sons: Gary Dickey and his wife Angie; Don Dickey, Doyle Dickey; Jackie Dickey and his wife Patricia; 2 daughters: April Allbritton and her husband Brian; Michelle Scribner and her husband Lee; 3 brothers: James Dickey, Johnny Dickey, and Earl Dickey; 2 sisters: Becky Frost and Marie Huth; 17 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Dickey, Don, Jr. Dickey, Curtis Dickey, and Michael Dickey.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Gary Dickey, Don Dickey, Doyle Dickey, and Jackie Dickey.
