Obituary of Sidney Paul Etier

Funeral services for Sidney Paul Etier, age 77 of Winnsboro, formerly of Hebert will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at the chapel of Riser Funeral Home, Columbia with Bro. Brian Rankin officiating. Interment will follow at the Etier Cemetery in Hebert. The family will receive visitors from 5 PM until 8 PM Tuesday, December 11 at the funeral home.

Sidney Paul Etier was born October 17, 1941 in Hebert, LA to the union of his parents, Willie Etier, Jr. and Haywood Owens Etier and he passed from this life on December 10, 2018 at Plantation Manor Nursing and Rehab in Winnsboro, LA. Paul was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish and play golf. He was a devoted member and deacon of Bethany Baptist Church before his health prevented him from attending. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Brent Etier and Tim Etier.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 58 years, Cornelia Walters Etier; daughters: Pam Washam and husband, Scott and Renea Keahey and husband, Britt; sister, Maggie Ellen Harris and husband, James; seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be Paul Washam, Farrel Keahey, Timothy Washam, Clint Freeman, Seth Mizell and Noah Freeman.
