Obituary of Barbara Ann Foster

Funeral services for Barbara Ann Foster age 64 of Columbia will be held 1:00 PM Saturday December 22, 2018 from the sanctuary of Living Way Apostolic Church located on Highway 4 East Columbia, with Rev. Shane Carter officiating. Interment will follow in the Welcome Home Cemetery at Grayson under the direction of Riser & Son Funeral Home of Columbia. Visitation will be at the church on Friday December 21, 2018 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Barbara Ann Frost Foster was born on February 22, 1954 in Monroe, LA to the union of her beloved parents John Elzie Frost and Jewel Ellen White Frost. She passed from this life on December 17, 2018 at the Winn Parish Medical Center in Winnfield following an extended illness.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Glen Foster, her grandson Bryan Foster and her sister: Martha Hill. She was a member of Living Way Apostolic Church and in her earlier years she loved to cook and bake for her family. She loved to make gingerbread houses during the holidays. She also loved her yard and working in it. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.

Left to celebrate and cherish her wonderful life is her daughter: Lorie Foster and fiancee' Stacy Menard of Columbia; two grandchildren: Robert Foster and Jonathan Foster and wife Allie both of West Monroe; two brothers: James Earl Frost of Alabama and John E. Frost, JR of Calhoun; two sisters: Joyce Varnell and husband Sid of Hebert and Brenda Frost of Georgia; a special great grandson R.J. Foster and three other great grandchildren: Carsyn Foster, Declan Foster and Alexa Foster.

Serving as pallbearers will be Sid Varnell, Robert Foster, Jonathan Foster, Matt Varnell, James Earl Frost and Austin Fitzgerald.
