Obituary of Doris Mae Dannehl Wiggins

Funeral services for Doris Dannehl Wiggins, age 86 of the Big Ridge Community, Columbia will be 12:00 Noon on Saturday, January 5, 2019 from the sanctuary of Bellview Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Dannehl officiating. Interment will follow in the Burroughs Garden of Memories east of Columbia under the direction of Riser & Son Funeral Home of Columbia. Visitation will be on Friday evening from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Doris Mae Dannehl Wiggins was born on January 27, 1932 to the union of her parents, Richard L. Dannehl and Elaine Hall Dannehl. She passaed from this life on January 2, 2019 at the Citizens Medical Center in Columbia following an extended illness.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, A.E. Wiggins. She was one of fifteen children and was preceded in death by five of her siblings: Frances Oliveaux, Virginia Little, Evelyn Lenoir, Johnny Dannehl and Terri Dannehl. She was a member of Bellview Baptist Church. Doris loved the simple things in life. She loved to work in her yard and she enjoyed just life itself.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Aubrey “Huck” Wiggin ; her brothers: Louis “Buddy” Dannehl, Gerald Dannehl, Robert Dannehl, Larry Dannehl and Ricky Dannehl; her sisters: Rose Mary Thompson, Joyce Massey, Kay Talbert and Dana Dannehl Polarmo.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jimmy Brownell, Colt Ross, Dylan Dannehl, Wayne Baum, Jason Braddock and Ryan Wheeler.
