Obituary of Mildred Hunt Boyd

Funeral Services for Mildred Louise Hunt Boyd will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Cross Roads Baptist Church, Grayson, LA with Bro. Shane Duke officiating. Interment will follow at Fellowship Cemetery under the direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home, Columbia. The family will receive visitors from 2 PM until 8 PM Monday, February 4, 2019 and Tuesday from noon until 2 PM also at Cross Roads Baptist Church.

Mildred Louise Hunt Boyd was born July 28, 1946 in Clarks, LA to the union of her parents, Harrison Daily Hunt and Helen Perkins Hunt and she passed from this life February 1, 2019 at Monroe, LA after a short illness. Mildred was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church. She loved to sew and enjoyed being outdoors, whether it be fishing or camping. Her greatest treasure was her family and nothing was more important than spending time with them. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Ashley David Boyd; her brothers: Harry Dale Hunt and Jerry Wayne Hunt and her sisters: Irene Mae Stinson and Martha Ann Gordy.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons: Brian Keith Boyd and wife, Anissa Ann Boyd of Grayson, Brandon Kyle Boyd and wife, Karen Kai Boyd of West Monroe and Joseph (Joey) Daily Boyd and wife, Angie Boyd of Grayson; the father of her children, Asa David Boyd; sisters: Margaret Marie Hunt Vidrine of Grayson, Carolyn Sue Northrop and husband, Lawrence Paul Murillo Northrop of Fayetteville, AR and Geraldine (Dean) Hunt Blount of Oberline, LA; grandchildren: Katie Leann Boyd, Kaitlin Olivia Boyd, Andrew Keith Boyd, Ashton Carter Boyd, Ashley Gage Boyd, Zoe Jade Boyd, Maddie Nicole Humphrey, Shae McNemar and Bubba McNemar; great-grandchildren: Jaxon Keith May and Landree Kay May.

Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Page, Walter Simmons, Dewayne Kelly, Chris Gonzales, Larry Wayne Adkins, Heath Boyd, Jaby Lee Carr and Michael Boyd. Honorary pallbearers include Jody Hall, Daniel Perkins, Shane Knight and Chris Hunt.
